It took me 10 minutes to find the software, 5 minutes to download and install, and 30 minutes to convert over 1000 images. If I had resized and converted these images manually, it would have taken days. For me, most items were being converted from tif to jpg and then resized to 65%, and that resulted in approximately 98% space savings on average. The program tells you how much space you're saving as it converts the items. I'm pleased to say that I found FastStone Photo Resizer 2.6, which did exactly what I wanted and did it very quickly. I needed to convert several hundred images from tif to jpg, and I'd like to re-size them while I'm at it.

I went to and found a free product that might do what I needed. ProStores does not allow you to upload tif for product images, and now that I know how huge they are I wouldn't want to anyway. The images are huge and need to be converted to JPG. Unfortunately, all images in the vendor's catalog CD is all in tif format. I am loading an online store with several hundred product images.
